Like it or Hate it,Naruto has garnered legion of fans from across the world.

Starting in 1999,and spanning as of today 499 chapters. It has been a true epic of storytelling, and one mans will to see his vision seen by the masses.

No one does twists week after week as well Kishimoto.

Going beyond the Shonen formula he has weaved a story of complexity that rivals anything seen out of japan.

His ensemble of characters are loved, hated, and feared. With multiple story lines happening at the same time.

Todays chapter (499) marks 11 years of patience that just culminated in one of the best surprises in shonen history.

In 2 weeks the manga will come full circle and will recount the beginning of this epic.

A love story,A political statement, and the path to adulthood. This is the The Legend of the Gallant Ninja .

For as we watch the story it has already been written by another.

I would like to take this time to applaud Masashi Kishimoto on 500 chapters and still going strong

Bravo

I used to watch the anime, but I stopped at around ep 80. It was getting too DBZish. I did enjoy the universe and characters though.

Same here, I loved it, and skipped the whole first version then to shippuden and then I fell off. Buy Nickguy, I was once a huge fan of your KFK, where's it now? I'm waiting for more epicness and your other new comic too. But Naruto was awesome!

I LOVE this comic! I was in heaven when they'd release 4 volumes at a time stateside. I stopped watching the cartoon around the hHaku ice mirror part, but I liked the first movie and intend to buy the rest. Definitely has had a big influence on me.

Same as others. Used to be mad about naruto. I read it over and over. Loved the universe, the fights, everything.
But after awhile it got hard to be interested . I just stopped give a damn .

Nowadays I know more people that used to buy naruto but also dont give a damn. Really makes me wonder who buys it.

But yeah bravo for the iron will to continue this monster. If I were Kishimoto I would puke just by thinking about naruto.
Hope he will be able to draw something else in the future,

I love the anime but the last 7 or 8 episodes which are on Hulu are all like untold stories about all the characters during the chunin exams or before. I'm not that interested in these episodes so I'll pick it back up when the story about Sasuke and the Akatsuki starts again.

Crunchyroll has all that.

Since 500 came out for the last 2 years Naruto has really gone downhill.

Its pretty godawful at this point. It just lost everything that made it special, and is more of a caricature now.

The Anime or the Manga?

The manga is one of the most incredible pieces of fiction ever written and just keeps on getting better and better in my opinion.

I do love the Rocklee spinoff too.

I stopped reading Naruto once that Pain guy killed everyone and Naruto brought them back to life (or whatever happened that brought everyone back to life)... at that point I was just like, "Fuuck this."
