The Superhero's of this week is.
Lion-O
Thundarr
Space Ghost
Namor
Nightwing
Design an original movie style of any characters from the TMNT franchise's good or bad, this will be this weeks wild card characters.
As you know, you can choose to draw the superhero in its original style or make a concept design of the superhero. You may also have your take on a superhero with a celebrity you would think best plays him or her. Last but not least, draw as many superhero's as you like so you can build up your portfolio.

Here's a quick Namor. Just noticed that he looks quite a bit like one of those Na'Vi from Avatar. Ah well....

The fin's, the large gills, the webbed feet and the green shorts all go together very well. Love the back-story the most, I find it has allot of humor to it.

That one incredible Night Wing illustration! Jared Padalecki would be a great match for that role indeed.

Cool Nightwing, Jeloschi. I like that you found an actor who could play the character on screen! Your Thundarr is cool, Alex, but that Space Ghost is SWEET! Nice job on both!
Here's a half-hearted Thundarr, as played by C-grade actor (don't get me wrong, I enjoy MANY of his movies) Jason Statham:

Excellent redesign, composition and energy you put into this illustration! The arm weapon Thundarr is holding up looks like its cutting the moon in half!
http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u225/hadesillustrations/thundarr.jpg
That Space Ghost redesign is perfect! Everything goes together perfectly in this one, the armor, the arm blades, the cape, and the mask, great job!
http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u225/hadesillustrations/spaceghost.jpg
That animal hide design is one of the best idea's I've seen in his clothing design. The sun design on the swords handle is incredible and the invisible sword with energy flowing around it goes perfectly with Thundarr! You toss in the great boot design and this is an excellent redesign over all.

Thanks for all the praise gang! Scmarooney, I can tell you have loads of fun doing these - very nice work. Everyone participating here is really going to town with likenesses and/or redesigns. Keep it up! I have way too much fun doing these myself. Here's Lion-O:

I love the way you made his hair look like an actual lion's Maine. The extra large machine claw on his arm completes the whole design!

The expression on Lion-O's face and the motion and perspective in this illustration is excellent! The hair style is well done. The glove design on both of has hands fits in with him very nicely. The large glove is starting to look incredible, get that baby finished up!

Thanks Alex. I really dig where you went with the Lion-O with the big paw-thing. Never really watched Thundercats for some reason, but with all the badass examples I'm seeing you guy's drawing, I feel like I missed out!

Cool drawing, Teratophile! Your designs are always great to look at!
Here's my re-design of Space Ghost. This is another character I vaguely remember but didn't really seem to leave much of an impression?

An interesting take on Lion-O. Giving him a more lion like look but staying true to the original look. Loving the wolverine like expression on his face.
http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4058/4672256013_805be08fd8_b.jpg
A more close up and energetic look on Lion-O. The glove and sword design's are off the hook! Excellent motion in the close up.
http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/ee46/KrisDiaz23/lion-o2.jpg
This Lion-O has a more futuristic look! A sleeker build but more technology advance and has an eastern feel in the clothing design! Loving the design of the robotic arm more then the last design, the inside handle sword design is a very creative twist. Very original design indeed.
http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u225/hadesillustrations/liono2.jpg
That illustration is a better fit for the name “Space Ghost ” then the original design! Its a ghost in a alien space suit traveling the galaxy! It's incredible how you changed “Space Ghost ” design but kept the old school art style. The changing face give him a spooky and even more ghost feel. Excellent design of “Space Ghost ”!

The inverted outline is a bold new take on Space Ghost. The hood gives him a more ghostly look and the smoke like energy that's flow off his shoulder and arm is a perfect illustration of what powers a ghost should have!

I dunno - maybe 45 minutes? I was surprised that the kids took me the least amount of time, but then they're really not finished at all - hardly any shading, nor detail. It was a little after 12 when I started and its 12:57 now. I posted a few minutes ago and scanning and stitching took a sec - yeah, about 45 min. Glad you dig em!

Both of these illustrations are spectacular! The first one is more true to the original style but has a more futuristic look then the original!

Love how you increased the eastern style in this next one. The clothings are a perfect fit and the ancient design give them a predestined fill of earlier Thundercats!

Thanks pigeonmilk! That thing on his chest is kind of vaginal...I was going for a bony-thing like on Doomsday or something? To tell the truth I had never heard of Liefeld's Roman character . But it is possible that I saw something along those lines and it popped up as an "original" idea in my head? The more I think about it, the more I think that I saw a Justice League cartoon with a similar thing to my Space Ghost idea too :(. Apologies to Mr. Liefeld and anybody else whose ideas I've cribbed from, definitely unintentional! Gotta let these things percolate for 24 hours or do a quick google check in the future!

i wouldn't apologize, lol he took idea first, Roman spelled backwards is Namor, so you get the idea. Your drawing is awesome, I was poking fun at him creating a character that was Namor and just renaming it Roman.
Kinda like how he took the Hulk, colored him purple and calling it Smash...seems to be something he does. Not trying to get a Liefied bash thread by NO MEANS.lol
