View Full Version : Monsterminator page. Which page works better?
Didn't know where to put this. It's a comic I'm inking for a friend of mine and I got til the end of April to finish it.
Anyhoo, just interested to know which page version works. The second needs some detailing but I wont tweak it anymore until I get some advice from a different set of eyes. Most of the inks are done by Mana boozy (pencils also).
Any comments and votes appreciated. Cheers.

Dude, the first page is the better one in my opinion. The layout is way friendlier to the eyes.
I'd have to disagree, thee_dug based on how claustraphobic the layout feels. If the two panels on either side were spread out more it would be more eye friendlier imo. The main reason I tweaked the page as such is because the silhouetted figure didn't have a great deal of negative space to work with.
I was hoping to get more insight from varied views. I appreciate the feedback you have given, thee_dug.

Dri, I agree that the original one is better. I feel more drama in it than in the second one. I think it has to do with the fact that the character in the left is looking up and over the monster in the revised version and it doesn't have the impact of this beast towering over them. The art is real cool though, nice details! You guys did a good job.
Cheers, Bat. Mana will be pleased to hear that.

i like the first one better because it looks lik,e the smiling dude is getting a glimpse of some boobies. it seems more obvious for the reason he is grinning.

Yeah, the work is great. You guys have done a great number with it.
It just feels like there is a lot of weight near the bottom of the page. That's just my thought, but in the end, this is your page and once you settle on it, it's permanent. So pick what makes you happy.
