Shoot for 10-15 minutes.
All mediums are permitted, but, traditional mediums are encouraged.
This is not a competition, the goal here is to reinterpret the image as best you can within the time limit.

Keep the drawing fairly loose and fluid.
Try blocking in quick shapes.
Maintain composition as best as you can. If you want to change the figure so its more fun, that's fine, just try to maintain the actual overall composition.
Try to add values to help bring out the form.

No Tracing.
Try not to use an overlay.
Try not to use a color picker if painting digitally. Try to train your eye to identify colors.
Try not to get too hung up on the details. Instead, focus more on the overall composition and basic anatomy 1st. Details after if time permits.

Again this is new to me so if anyone has any suggestions for improvements or tips and pointers please let me know.

Most of all, just have fun!!

About 15 minutes

Another reminder that I need to pay more attention to proportions when I do these.

This is my first try at the speed draw thing. I can see I'll have to do many more before I regain some fluidity.

Hey Guys not sure if this is a private sketch group but linked in here through Hawks Daily's. First off great jobs guys, I think this is a very cool group to have and definitely helps with getting stuff on paper.

Wanted to join in so here is mine.

Enjoy! ;)

I would love to see optic nerve take a crack at that last one. His style seems perfect for it.
