I was psyched until I saw "Walt Disney Pictures". That kinda dampened my enthusiasm. I was hoping for something with all the sex and violence inherent to the ERB mythos, but I suspect this is gonna be a bit more kid-friendly. Plenty of violence, and not so much sex.

Oh well, I enjoyed their Pirates franchise, at least I can expect this to look good. It's just not going to have the eye candy I had hoped for.

And before anyone calls me out on just wanting to see nekkid womens, let me point out that the men in the John carter books also go around wearing about 8 square inches of cloth, so... it's very equal-opportunity in that respect.

Which probably helps some in offsetting the blatant racism of other respects, which I also figure Disney will quietly whitewash (ahaha).

I went to a talk by Ian McCaig where he showed very early concepts for this. If they keep close to his visual style it should look great!
